Yeah I've seen it. Apparently the author died in a horrible car accident (something like that) when the anime series was still in production. Prolly that's why the end of the series (or towards the mid of it) things are kinda in a mess, without the author to supervise them (?).

Episode 25 of claymore -
Nothing too inspiring ..

The funny thing being, upon seeing Claire in her semi-awakened form, Priscilla said to herself (100% awakened) - "...but why am I so afraid of you?" then proceed and beat the crap outta Claire.
I think the producers want us to learn that she's experiencing yellow fever, so her head and body are run by a separate Core slice on an Intel Core 2 Duo chip. Since she doesn't seem to remember anything after her full awakening, I bet her operating system's Windows Vista (probably she didn't install a compatible driver for her DDR1 133mhz memory).

Gah, it was promising anime.... How can you screw things so much. I wanted deep characters with mysteries from the past. I wanted ruthless "The Organization" doing what it has from unknown reasons. Maybe to protect the world from itself this twisted way. I wanted all the nasty secrets to be revealed slowly to build up the atmosphere.

What did I get? CARNAGE! Pure, unbounded CARNAGE!. Not that I dislike carnage, but it wasn't what i've expected from it.

It's sad that such a promising anime ended as some kind of Dragon Ball.

That organization is interesting, I guess I'll have to read manga to find out more about it.

Hmm so I take it spoilers are allowed in this topic?
So I've been watching upto episode 25 in three days. Gotta say it turned out kinda rushed during the ending. I hope there will be some sort of sequal.
We haven't seen the current no. 1 Alicia and 2 Beth either and what's the real goal and what drives the organization? Who is at the top of the organization? Who is the other Dweller of the Deep? What happened between Rafaela and Irene? There are too many open questions unanswered. The manga probably holds more background information regarding these questions.
Maybe I should give that a try...

Nothing really bothered me about the series, I loved it, although the power increase of Clare's adversarys did increase drastically at some point. Which doesn't make all that much sense storywise in my opinion. Unless more time elapsed which hasn't been mentioned a lot during the story.

Let's await until the last episode airs. Will it be for the good or the bad of the series who knows. All good things comes to an end.

Episode 26 - Dragonball Z anyone?

They seem to hint at future continuation with a 2nd season.. but I heard that the author's a bum (being lazy and stuff since the comic's lagging as well) so this is gonna be a long wait (if they've decided to make it anyways)

One thing for certain is that Teresa's probably the strongest character in Claymore since her successor, Claire, could heavily wound a fully awakened Priscilla with only approximately 1/4 of Teresa's yoma substance (whatever it's called).. naturally, a fully awakened Teresa's is at least twice as powerful as a >50% awakened Claire.

In my opinion, the ending for the anime series is mediocre.. tolerable I guess. Claire went away with Raki happily, and the same's true for the abyssal ones. As for the trio, Milia, Denevu and Helen, they are back in the monster hunting business again. Not much is said about the organization and what's going to happen to the survivors... so this makes a bad ending for me.

Some complaints flung by claymore fans regarding the anime series:
1. Why must you kill Jean in Episode 26? Raki should be the one who should sacrifice himself -- seems to me that there are quite a lot of Jean fans out there.
2. Who's Raki? Claire's boyfriend or something? -- it was never explained properly in the anime
3. What about Riful?? She didn't get much screen space at all -- I guess she's on vacation :P

You pretty much described the things I wanted to mention after I saw the last episode.
A satisfiable open ending, the 'season' of the anime series is over, the story definitely isn't at all.
You should read the manga if you want to know more details not described or described yet in the anime. I might read it when I'll be able to get my hands on some books.

Yup, but the manga's coming to a stall around vol 71 or 72. I wonder what the author's doing...

The next anime to recommend would be Kekkaishi. I heard that Jump Comics is betting on this series to regain their leadership in the industry, so the series is pretty good. The whole series is rather captivating since the producers are very keen in slowly revealing little tidbits of the history of the haunted land and any mysteries surrounded it so that the viewer's eager to wait and hope that more will be described in subsequent episodes.

As for the characters... well, I don't think I like any of the main characters (be it protagonists or antagonists)... 'cept the helper dogs sine they are very cute, both in demeanor and their spirit form

not quite since I'm more than lazy to do such a thing :P anyhow thanks for the compliments heh

Anyone here plays Medieval 2 total war - kingdoms? I'm having fun with peasant armies (being evil and all) since we almost always have the enemy knights/spearmen surrounded and overwhelm them with sheer numbers alone :P
