Nieprawda. Pierwszą książką, w pełni ukończoną znaczy, był Hobbit.

Silmarillion to praca całego życia Profesora, nigdy zresztą nie dokończona - pisał nawet w okopach i w szpitalu wojskowym podczas I Wojny Światowej.

Czyli: pierwszy pomysł - Silmarillion.
Pierwsza książka - Hobbit.

W Śródziemiu, znaczy, nie piszę teraz o publikacjach naukowych i tym podobnych.

Zresztą, jakby się uprzeć, to Sil wcale nie jest napisany przez Tolkiena... A przynajmniej nie przez J.R.R. Tolkiena. Profesor zostawił same luźne notatki, które po jego śmierci zostały opracowane i wydane przez Christophera Tolkiena - syna Mistrza.

?? Cienka? W którym miejscu?! Może faktycznie chudsza, niż np. 'Smoki letniego płomienia', ale i tak to dość spore tomiszcze...

Poza tym - jak pisałam - nieskończona! Kto wie, co Profesor chciałby jeszcze dopisać, jakie historie wymyślić...

A dlaczego tak długo? Cóż, w oryginale cały Silmarillion był pisany w quenyi (języku elfów). Wszystkie historie. Tolkien wymyślił kompletny język (ba, żeby to jeden!), ze wszystkimi zasadami (uczyłam się kiedyś gramatyki sindarinu ^^) i słownictwem. Trochę to przecież musiało trwać...

Yuby --> Chodzi mi tylko o początek, a dokładniej rozdział zwany Ainulindale (opisujący stworzenie świata), jakbyś mógł go jeszcze raz przewertować było by super :).
